We are Joyway Widows Foundation, and we promote programs designed to improve the lives of childless widows in Nigeria in West Africa. Help us raise funds so that we may continue what we do.

God’s Message, Our Work
While crafting the year's quarterly programs for the widows in a South Western Province of The Redeemed Christian Church of God in Nigeria in 2003, we discovered what God intended. This came through a book we published, “Handbook for Widows."
Before this took place, our work included providing assistance with:
- Accommodations and Rental Payments
- Advocacy/Legal Services
- Distribution of Food (and Other Household Needs)
- Financial Empowerment (for Personal Business)
- Incidental Needs/Expenses
- Job Sourcing (for School Graduates)
- Medical Aid (Hospital Stay and Recovery)
- Counselling and Coaching
- Mentorship for the Children
- Skills Acquisition/Training (for Widows and Their Children)
- Sponsorship for Indigent Students (of the Widows)

To acquire a better understanding of how deeply committed we are, allow us to share with you a story told by our founder of Joyway Widows Foundation. She is the wife of the Special Assistant to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (SATGO) and Regional Pastor of Australia/Pacific. Capture the universal message she wishes to impart in her words:
“A day after publishing my book, ‘Handbook for Widows,’ the Lord asked me: ‘Which one of those you have written would you do yourself?’ Thinking that writing the book was enough, I replied, Lord, I wrote the book.
‘Sure, you did, but what more?’ He asked. Lord, I don't know, Sir, I replied. The Lord explained to me: ‘Some widows ask Me, ‘Lord, widows who have children will have their children carry them in old age. We don't have children, so who carries us?'
The Lord then said to me: ‘Carry them.’ How do I carry them, Lord? ‘House and feed them till they die.’ Silence fell as the implication dawned on me and then I said, yes, Lord, I will.
Since then, I have pursued the vision to care for the widows who have no children and provide them with decent accommodations. There, they shall be treated with dignity, loved and showered with the joy of the Lord. This is the vision Of Joyway Widows Foundation.”

Your Support Is Crucial to the Cause
The Lord has acquired for us an acre of land in Lagos, Nigeria which has been surveyed and made ready for building. Our architect has put the approximate amount for the first phase to house about 50 widows at the current market price of 150 million nairas. Since no funding is forthcoming from the Nigerian government in terms of aid or grant, we seek donations from individuals and corporations. We do appreciate whatever you contribute and even your prayers alone will make some difference. Thank you so much.

"Honour widows that are widows indeed.”
"But if any widow has children or nephews, let them learn first to show piety at home, and to requite their parents, for that is good and acceptable before God."
"Now, she that is a widow indeed and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day."
